About Me

Liga Kitchen/ Illustration/ London/ liga_kitchen@yahoo.com: I was born in Latvia, Riga, a small beautiful country filled with tall tales, dark forests, and frozen seas. I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts(BA degree in Printmaking) and after moving to London, completed an illustration course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. My works have been exhibited and sold in galleries in Riga, Moscow, Munich, Iowa, Kaunas and London. I have created works for books, magazines, newspapers (published in Latvia, Germany, Moscow, Madrid and London) and I love collaborating with musicians to create album designs. My album design for the music CD "Viegli" ( released in 2011) won the ADWARDS design prize for the best CD cover in Latvia.
