I've got a small exhibition in the quirky Phoenix cinema, east Finchley! Open from wednesday, september 3rd.

This exhibition presents illustrative works that have been drawn by ink, then details have been added digitally and then the illustrations have been transferred on to old collected fabrics, pillow cases, embroidered table cloths, night dresses and old curtains.

Each work has a tale, a story it brings. Memories, carefully collected, treasured moments and ones that have been hidden but never forgotten.

The fabrics themselves have lots of tales about where they come from, who made them and whom they belonged to. One thing that fascinated me in the process of

making the works were the smells that had been collected by the fabric and released during the process. Smells of houses, dust, people, and even time itself.
